The Functional Vision and Learning Media Assessment (FVLMA) is a critical evaluation conducted by a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) to determine how a student uses their vision in everyday environments and how to support their visual needs in educational settings. This assessment helps identify necessary adaptations and accommodations to maximize the student’s visual efficiency and support meaningful access to learning.
