Helping students understand who supports them at school is an important step in building self-awareness, confidence, and self-advocacy. For students who are blind or visually impaired, this understanding often needs to be explicitly taught. Many students interact with multiple professionals throughout the school day, but may not fully understand each person’s role or how to seek support when needed.
