Learning how to say no politely and assertively is a critical life skill for students who are blind or have low vision. This skill supports healthy boundaries, strengthens self-advocacy, and promotes personal safety. Because students may not consistently access nonverbal cues or accurately interpret tone, they benefit from explicit instruction in how to decline requests clearly and respectfully.
