Recreation and leisure are important components of the Expanded Core Curriculum for students who are blind or visually impaired. These activities support physical health, social engagement, self-expression, and overall well-being. However, unlike their sighted peers, students with visual impairments often need intentional instruction and guided exploration to identify, learn, and engage in leisure activities.
