Tips for Locating Jobs within the Vision Field

Even though there is a great demand for Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments and Orientation and Mobility Specialists, it can be very challenging to locate these positions. This is due to a variety of reasons including school systems not knowing where to post for the position, being restricted in how they can post their positions, or being restricted in how to pay for the job postings. I have created this page to allow school systems and agencies a place to post directly on this site. Another strategy you may find helpful, if you know of an area you are interested working in, is to go directly to a school or service center's website to see if current positions are posted. Listservs, Google Groups, and Facebook pages are also places to reach out to the community to locate available positions.
