Purchase Access to Recorded Presentations

Taking initial coursework to become a vision professional is not enough to become or remain an effective vision professional. Part of professional practice is to remain a lifelong learner and stay current with developments in the field of visual impairments and also stay on top of current trends. This includes engaging in ongoing professional development to expand and develop your professional knowledge and skills. I have created the following recorded presentations. Within the presentations I share instructional strategies from the past 21 years as a full time Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments. These presentations are packed full of practical information that you can use with your students immediately. I know how hard it can be to locate vision specific training opportunities to meet your needs. This is why I decided to create these on demand presentations. Each presentation is located on it's own web page and includes the recorded PowerPoint presentation, pdf handouts for note taking, a transcript, and associated resources. There is also a 1 hour participation certificate to earn CEU's. (You will need to check with your certifying body if these can be accepted.) The certificate that documents your participation and attendance will be sent following the completion of a ten question quiz and survey to verify your participation. The participation certificate from Teaching Students with Visual Impairments includes the name of the presentation you participated in, your name, and the date you took the quiz.
